Born April 12, 1934, in Dexter, to the late Herbert and Daisy Tracer Aarant, she was a housewife and a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter.
On May 10, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., she married Robert "Jerry" Thomas, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Michael Allan Thomas of Fayetteville, Dennis Randall Thomas of New Hill and Master Sgt. Douglas Scott Thomas of Goldsboro; one sister, Janice Baker of Dexter; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Kenneth Biggs will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery at Dexter.
