SIKESTON -- C.F. Eisenbach, 86, died Dec. 27, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born in St. Louis, son of the late Clarence Frederick and Mary Agnes Tracey Eisenbach. He attended Mary Magdalene High School and Southern Illinois College of Optometry. He was a World War II veteran, having served in all theatres. He later moved to Sikeston and practiced optometry for 50 years before he retired in 2001.
He was an avid sportsman and fisherman and one of the first hunters at Duck Creek. He also managed Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams. He received many honors, was secretary of the Rotary Club, designated Elk of the Year by his lodge at Chaffee, and earned other awards.
On June 6, 1946, he married his wife Clare, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Dona Eisenbach of Neward, Texas; and one son, Rick Eisenbach of New Madrid.
Private graveside rites will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, with the Rev. Richard Rolwing officiating. Full military honors will follow.
