Lyman Garner

DEXTER -- Lyman Arthur Garner, 73, died Oct. 6, 2006, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 31, 1932, at Dexter, son of the late Bert and Goldie Dillingham Garner, he was a member of the Cane Creek Christian Church near Dexter. He had farmed, co-owned Garner Appliance in Dexter, and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include: one daughter, Tana Garner Christensen of Hot Springs, Ark.; one brother, Bill Garner of Dexter; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.
