BENTON - Gloria D. Frobase, 67, died Oct. 18, 2006, at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Born April 12, 1939, to the late Marshal and Elizabeth Phipps Haney, she was employed by the Scott County Assessor's office in Benton for 39 years and retired in 1995 to begin a life of travel and adventure. She was a Cadet Girl Scout Leader and was recognized by the Benton Chamber of Commerce as Woman of the Year for her community service.
On Oct. 6, 1978, she married Tom Frobase, who survives of the home.
Survivors include: two stepdaughters, Debbie L. Sneed of Little Rock, Ark., and Sally L. Spindor of Fort Worth, Texas; two granddaughters, Jamie and Casey Jackson; one brother, Larry Haney of Sedalia; one sister, Carrie Haney of Sikeston; one niece; two nephews; and several grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Haney.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dennis Lowe will officiate.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
