Open for business

EXPRESSTAX, located at 523 W. Murray Lane, held a ribbon cutting on Jan. 23. Cutting the ribbon is Peggy Pearson, office manager and tax professional. Also at the ribbon cutting were members of the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce and some of the business' first customers.

In an effort to match convenience with a growing demand for tax services during the 2008 tax filing season, EXPRESSTAX is opening hundreds of new offices nationwide, according to a news release. "This new office will give our clients ready access to our tax preparation services and the tax refund settlement products offered through EXPRESSTAX," said Pearson.

The office is now open for extended hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; the phone number is 471-5858.
