He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University, served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and retired in 1996 after a 37-year career as salesman, manager, and owner of business and agricultural products.
Survivors include: his wife, Katherine Jeaniece Washburn; one daughter and son-
in-law, Kelly Ann and Dink Love; one son and daughter-in-law, John Edward and Melissa Washburn; one sister, Dorthea M. Scobey of Sikeston, Mo.; and three granddaughters and one grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine Jeannette Washburn.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Presbyterian Church.
Burial will follow in Raymond Cemetery.
