PORTAGEVILLE - Norvell Taylor Adams, 92, died Oct. 13, 2006, at Pemiscot Memorial Health System in Hayti.
Born Aug. 18, 1914, in Portageville, to the late Louie Alfred and Maggie Phillips Adams, he was a retired custodian from the Portageville School District and a member of the First Baptist Church.
On Dec. 2, 1935, in Portageville, he married Nora Oneal Cranford, who preceded him in death in 1991.
One brother, William Adams; and one sister, Linnie Barger, preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Rondal F. Adams of Portageville and Gearl Wayne Adams of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Barbara Kaye Kurkowski of Carlsbad, N.M.; four grandchildren, Richard Adams, Douglas McKenzie, Jamie McKenzie and Alana McKenzie; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. today at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Dr. Buck Morton will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
