BERTRAND -- Emma Jean Stanton, 81, formerly of Sherrard, Ill., died Jan. 15, 2007, at Bertrand Nursing Center.
Born April 8, 1925, in Sherrard, daughter of the late George and Thelma Ann Waters Coursey, she had lived most of her life in Illinois where she was employed for 45 years at the Farm-all/International Implement Co. at East Moline, Ill., until her retirement. She moved to Bertrand Nursing Center in 2005 to be with her daughter.
Her husband, Jack David Stanton, preceded her in death in 1979.
One son, Jim Hall, and one sister, Ruth Coursey Hall, also preceded her in death. Survivors include: one daughter, Judith Oakley of Bertrand; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at Sherrard Cemetery in Sherrard.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
