Born July 7, 1983, in Hayti, son of Michael James Slavings Sr. of Hayti and Deborah Ann Ward DePung of Farmington, he was a welder and a member of the Significant Grace Apostolic Grace Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include: one son, Ryan Christopher Slavings of Hayti; one brother, Michael James Slavings Jr. of Hayti; his grandmothers, Geraldine Slavings of Hayti and Fleta Parr of Salisbury; his fiance, Carly Pearson of Oran; his stepmother, Cora Slavings of Hayti; and four uncles, four aunts, two great-
uncles, two great-aunts, two nieces and one nephew.
Services were held at 2 p.m. today at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with Pastor Jamie Jones officiating.
Burial followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
Pallbearers were: Kevin Stewart, Josh Burnett, Josh Smith, Jim Armstrong, Randy Trimm and Randy Hayes.
