SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Bulls ended the season on a positive note, defeating the Union City Greyhounds, 7-2, on Saturday at V.F.W. Memorial Stadium.
The Bulls closed the season on a three-game wining streak while winning four of their last five.
On Saturday night, the Bulls had only 10 players dressed out, but that was more than enough.
Shortstop Tyler Martin led the Bulls' eight-hit attack, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and one run scored. Shaun Lee collected two hits in four at-bats with an RBI and two runs scored.
Austin McDowell earned the win with a complete-game effort, hurling shutout ball for the first seven innings. He gave up two runs -- both in the eighth inning -- on nine hits, striking out three and walking none. Phillip Utley took the loss for the Greyhounds.
