PORTAGEVILLE - Allie Belle Birdwell, 77, died Aug. 6, 2006, at Portageville.
Born July 14, 1929, in Black Oak, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Willie and Adell Meadors.
On Feb. 19, 1959, in New Madrid, she married Florence Birdwell, who preceded her in death.
One brother, William Meadors; and one stepson, Glenn Birdwell also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Marry Kaye Birdwell, Ricky and Brenda Birdwell and Benny and Theresa Birdwell of Portageville and Michael and Patty Birdwell of New Madrid; four stepsons, Vernon Birdwell of Lilbourn and Wayne Birdwell, Glenn Birdwell and Junior Birdwell of Qulin; four daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Vernon Birdwell of Lilbourn, Linda and Jim Bennett of Barnhart, Gail and David Buchanan of Portageville, and Debbie and Bobby Holland of Fredericktown; six stepdaughters, Mary Miller of Point Pleasant, Virgie Thompason and Sharon Smith of Essex, Bonita Hargate of Qulin, Annette McCrory of Poplar Bluff and Dianne Prieve of the state of Arkansas; and 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Revs. Danny Stevens and Troy Alley will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
