SIKESTON - Minnie Lee Boone, 87, died Aug. 5, 2006, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 28, 1918, in Brilliant, Ala., to the late Horace Early and Pearl Alma Kemp Byrd, she was a member of Miner Baptist Church and a retired elementary school teacher.
Survivors include: one son, William Robert (Bill) Boone of Mililani, Hawaii; one daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Boone of Clarksville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl Greenburg, five brothers and five sisters.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ponder Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ron Shrum, senior adult minister at Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Jesse Kirk, Ray Cook, A.C. James Sr., Kick Nelson, George St. Onge and Don Northcutt.
