CHARLESTON - Mary Loucretia "Mary Lou" Vinson, 66, died at 8:50 a.m. Oct. 15, 2006, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born May 21, 1940, at Charleston, to the late Elmer William "Mike" and Pauline Christina Hart Thurman, she lived most of her life in Charleston where she was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church.
On May 27, 1958, she married Lawrence Edward Vinson, who preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2005.
Three brothers, Dennis Thurman, William Thurman and Joseph Thurman; two sisters, Mildred Thurman and Delores Hawkins; and one great-grandson also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Michael Edward Vinson and Timothy Raymond Vinson of Charleston and Christopher Eugene Vinson and his fiancee, Angie Wagner of Dogwood; one daughter, Dianne K. Anthony and her fiance, Steve Heinley of Charleston; one brother, John Henry Thurman of Charleston; five sisters, Rose McClendon, Martha Humphrey, Gail Faire and Maxine Geers of Charleston and Paula Meeks of Wyatt; and a number of grandchildren, great-
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Winston Williford will officiate with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, in attendance.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
