BLOOMFIELD - Robert Marcus Sutton, 68, died at 12:45 a.m., Jan. 7, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 10, 1938, at Matthews, to the late W.B. "Bill" and Selma Loyal Rushing Sutton, he had been the transportation supervisor for over 30 years for Malone and Hyde and the Fleming Company in Sikeston until his retirement. He was a member of the Beech Grove General Baptist Church and his favorite hobby was raising cattle.

On Aug. 31, 1957, at Hernando, Miss., he married Carolyn Jane Williams, who survives of the home in Bloomfield.

He is also survived by one daughter, Monetta J. Shea of Chichester, N.H.; four sisters, Johnnie Hawkins of Plugerville, Texas, Lola Mae Giles of Marysville, Calif., Sue Razer of Wappapello and Linda Parker of Puxico. Other survivors include two granddaughters, Chelsea Shea and Emily Shea, both of Concord, N.H. Several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Doyle Ellis Sutton.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Don Lafferty, pastor of the Beech Grove General Baptist Church, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Doyle Corlew.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
