BENTON - The Scott County Sheriff's Department has a new tool to assist in emergency calls and to track various other calls, including pranks. According to Sheriff Bill Ferrell, all calls made to the Sheriff's Department are monitored by Caller I.D. The identification mechanism will cover all six department lines. "This will give us a way to track calls. When people call in for emergencies, they are often in a panic and this will help us trace the call if our dispatchers are disconnected from the caller for some reason," he explained.
ST. LOUIS - "I know that Country Day runs basically a T-offense and uses a lot of different sets. They have an outstanding running back and a fine tight end," said Charleston coach Dan Kesselring about his team's playoff opponent for Monday night. Both teams come in to this important contest with identical 11-0 records, and both have beaten the only common opponent they faced this season, John Burroughs. This should be one of the better match ups of the season in Missouri high school football.
