SIKESTON - Douglas MacArthur Cammon, 63, died Nov. 16, 2006, at his home.
Born May 21, 1943, in Lambert, Miss., son of the late Willie and Geneva Boyd Cammon, he had been a long-time employee of Cargill Inc.
His wife, Brinda Cammon, preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were one son, Jean Edward Buxton; one daughter, Tyronza Brown; one brother, Lee Jr. Cammon; and one grandson.
Survivors include: nine sons, Darrell Cammon and Travis Brown of St. Louis, Douglas Cammon and Xavier Cammon of Chicago, Sounorris Buxton and Levar Buxton of Sikeston, Jonathan Brown and Kevin Brown of New Madrid and Jarvis Brown of Charleston; one brother, George Burnett of New Madrid; four sisters, Willie Mae Triblett of Sikeston, Lea Dodd of Compton, Calif., Jesse Hunt of Chicago and Brenda Burnett of Los Angeles; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held at noon today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. The Rev. Victor Williams officiated.
Burial followed at Sandhill Cemetery.
