CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Anna Leora Curry, 82, formerly of Morehouse, died April 6, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 3, 1923, in Vienna, Ill., daughter of the late John W. and Anna Rachel Vaughn Mace, she was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Morehouse before moving to Cape Girardeau in 1997. She had attended First General Baptist Church in Morehouse, Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church, and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.
On Dec. 26, 1940, in Fairdealing, she married Delbert T. Curry who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1970.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Thelbart Curry, and three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Regina Curry and Delbert and Alma Curry of Sikeston and Michael and Lori Curry of Overland Park, Kan.; three daughters and sons-in-law, June and Derrell Agee of East Peoria, Ill., Sue and Ray Kelley of Cape Girardeau and Regina and Bill Rice of Elizabeth, Ark.; and 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Randy Thomas, pastor of the First General Baptist Church in Morehouse, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Essex.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Curry, Terry Curry, David Curry, Ryan Mouser, Keith Agee and Ben Chessor.
