SIKESTON - Lawrence Wesley McCain, 68, died at 5 p.m. Sept. 6, 2006, at the emergency room of Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born April 13, 1938, in Sikeston, to the late Ernest and Fern Goetz McCain, he was owner and operator of McCain's Construction Company and attended the New Life Chapel of the First United Methodist Church.
On Dec. 31, 1958, in Sikeston, he married Jane Hulen, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Heath McCain of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teena and Jay Sheehy of Sikeston and Tanya and Lee DeKriek of Sikeston; two sisters and brothers-in-law, June and Gerald Watkins of Sullivan, Ill. and Nedra and James Brock of Sikeston; and five grandchildren, Caroline DeKriek, Kathleen DeKriek, Cord Sheehy, Heath McCain II and Hallie McCain, all of Sikeston.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the New Life Chapel of the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Geoff Posegate, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate assisted by the Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
