BENTON - Herbert H. Seiler, 80, died at 10 a.m. Sept. 6, 2006, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 25, 1926, at Oran, son of the late Herman and Mary Snider Seiler, he was a farmer and a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a technical sergeant.
On June 13, 1949, at Benton, he married Louise Vetter, who survives of the home in Benton.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Karen Seiler, Jim and Cecilia Seiler and Mark and Lila Seiler, all of Benton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Wayne Mattes of Cape Girardeau and Linda and Bill Emerine of Benton; two sisters, Aileen Keifer of St. Louis and Bernadette Bollinger of Benton; 10 grandchildren, Chad Seiler, Ryan Mattes, Derek Emerine, Eric Seiler, Jarett Seiler, Rebecca White, Christina Bruenderman, Emily Seiler, Lisa Seiler and Allison Seiler; and two great-
grandchildren, Nicole Mattes and Dominic Mattes.
Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday with parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. The Rev. Normand Varone will serve as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Denis Cemetery at Benton.
