SIKESTON - Mary Alma Crowley, 87, died at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 16, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 1, 1919, in Essex, to the late Charles and Minnie English Wamble, she was a homemaker, a member of North Acres General Baptist Church and the last charter member of the First General Baptist Church of Morehouse.
On June 28, 1940, in Morehouse, she married Floyd Crowley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ellen and Earl Clifton of Doraville, Ga., and Beverly Ann and Jerry Green of Charleston; one sister, Emma Johnson of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Rick Wallace, Rhonda Menz, John Clifton and David Clifton; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Wallace, Libby Menz and Matthew Menz.
Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jim Trotter, former pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Steve Tippen, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: J.W. Nelson, Bill Hupp, Bud Dock, Carl Bogle, Don Schaefer and Billy Littleton.
