CHAFFEE - Viola Mae Lair, 80, died Aug. 15, 2006, at her home.
Born May 22, 1926, in Ancel, to the late Homer and Lillian Gowens Poole, she owned and operated Hickory Hills BBQ and Pub in Chaffee and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall of Scott City.
On Aug. 28, 1948, she married Robert U. Lair Sr. who preceded her in death on May 4, 1996.
One brother also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Bobby Lair of Chaffee; three daughters, Brenda Lair and Crystal Gramlisch of Chaffee and Lawanna Seabaugh of Leopold; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Friday until time of services at 2:30 p.m at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Jerry Bain will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be: Roger Seabaugh, Amon Seabaugh, Eddie Martin, Dustin Lair, Terry Gramlisch and Nathan Gramlisch.
