Abraham Burgess

SIKESTON -- Abraham Lincoln Burgess Jr., 51, died Dec. 9, 2006, at the Pemiscot Medical Center in Hayti.

Born Sept. 28, 1955, in Sikeston, son of the late Abraham Lincoln and Geneva Louella McCormick Burgess Sr., he was a delivery specialist for Prime Time Rental in Sikeston.

Survivors include: his fiancee, Sandra Rushing of Sikeston; one son, Abraham Lincoln Burgess III of Scott City; one daughter, Natasha Moore of Sikeston; four brothers, James McCormick and Darius Burgess of Sikeston, Rickey Burgess of Forrest City, Ark., and Dennis Burgess of Caruthersville; two sisters, Mary Burgess of Sikeston and Jeneth Williams of Bloomfield; two stepsons, Clinton Rushing Jr. and Corey Rushing of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Brittney Rushing of Sikeston; and two grandsons, Ethan Moore and Trevor Mclean of Sikeston.
