Merger creates new technology service provider

Sunday, February 18, 2007

SCOTT CITY - Technology And Networking and Automation Services Company are joining forces.

Jason Eftink, CEO of Technology And Networking, and Michael Buchanan, CEO of Automation Services, announced the companies will combine to form what they say will be the region's largest and most experienced technology services provider.

The decision to merge the companies was well thought out and has been in planning over several months, Eftink and Buchanan agreed. Although both firms competed in the same market, each has developed unique strengths and bringing these together means the customers of both companies can now utilize the skills and expertise of each from a single source.

"When we began our talks, one thing that kept things going is that we shared a common attitude of doing right by our customers," Buchanan said. "It was really a pleasant surprise to see what a good fit this was in terms of how the strengths of each company complemented the other," he said.

"This is truly an example of the sum of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts," noted Eftink. "We feel we've created an organization that will benefit customers, employees, and shareholders alike."

The merged organization will stand out in terms of industry certifications and highly qualified technical staff, they said.

Technology And Networking/ASC will be Southeast Missouri's only Cisco Premier Certified Partner and will be accredited with Cisco specializations in IP telephone systems and security.

The new organization is also Southeast Missouri's only Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Achieving either of these industry standards of excellence requires a commitment to delivery of quality services and demonstrable expertise by the company's staff. Having both certifications within the same organization provides customers a single source of supply and support for products from world's number one networking vendor and number one software company, Eftink said.

"I think when customers of both firms see what the combined company has to offer, they will be as excited about the merger as we are," said Eftink.

"We also invite organizations we're not doing business with to contact us and learn of the new level of networking and technology service and support now available to Southeast Missouri and the surrounding area," noted Buchanan.
