Born Dec. 12, 1913, in Tahlequah, Okla., daughter of the late Going Snake and Katie Crittenden Kingfisher, she was a member of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church.
On March 29, 1978, in Miami, Okla., she married Gene Slayton, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, John and Thelma Slayton of Canalou; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Curt Spencer and Helen and Ron Beardsley of Sikeston; one brother, Eagle Kingfisher of Tahlequah; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
One brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation is from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Bill Martin, pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery in Matthews.
