Robert Shipman

DEXTER - Robert L. Shipman, 64, died May 10, 2007, at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born April 15, 1943, in Dexter, son of Willie Andrew and Clorine Williams Shipman of Dexter, he was a member of the Hill Church in Bloomfield and a self-employed construction laborer.

On March 4, 2003, in Piggott, Ark., he married Luann Mitchell who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Barbie Shipman and Bobby and Rhonda Shipman of Dexter; two daughters and sons-

in-law, LaDawn and Robert Christian of Dexter and Melissa and Robert Mitchell of Bloomfield; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Darla Shipman.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Gerald King officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hill Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
