ORAN - Imogene Veleta Phillips, 91, died at 11:20 a.m. June 5, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 26, 1914, in Grant City, daughter of the late Gilbert Silas and Jessie Abis Unsell Stacy, she was a retired machine operator for the Florsheim Shoe Company in Chaffee.
On Oct. 21, 1950, she married Perry Phillips who survives of Oran.
Other survivors include: one son, Bob Burnett of Belleville, Mich.; five daughters, Gloma Hubbs of Texas, Betty Mirley, Mary Lizenbee and Sue Sallee of Chaffee and Judy Horton of Glen Carbon, Ill.; three brothers, J.B. Stacy, Carl Stacy and Bob Stacy of Illinois; and 18 grandchildren and 29 great-
grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. today at the Amick-
Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. The Rev. Ed Carter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Friend Cemetery in Oran.
Pallbearers will be: Wayne Horton, Bobby Horton, Jeff Horton, David Horton, Danny Dobbs and Kevin Dobbs.
