WINFIELD - Betty Jean Lawrence, 73, died Sept. 10, 2006, at her home.
Born March 13, 1933, in Parma, daughter of the late Leo and Viola Sanders Breece, she lived in St. Louis from 1955 until 1990 when she moved to Winfield. She had volunteered for many years at the Winco Senior Center, worked as a waitress at the Adam' Mark Hotel in St. Louis before retiring and was a member of the Foley Baptist Church.
On May 29 1951, in Piggott, Ark., she married J.W. Lawrence, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Doyle Wayne Lawrence of Winfield; two daughters, Donnah Jean Lawrence of St. Louis and Diane Lawrence of Warrenton; four brothers, Howard "Tom" Breece of the state of Texas, Doyle Breece of Lone Oak, Ark., Randell Breece of Jackson and Buck Breece of Lilbourn; four sisters, Lavern Orr, Pauline Baldwin and Lavada Schoyer, all of Cuba and Wilma Baker of Troy; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Mark Powell of Risco will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
