VANDUSER -- David Monroe Pullen, 57, died Sept. 6, 2006, at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Ill.

Born April 13, 1949, in Advance, son of the late Norris T. and Annie Marie Bryant Pullen, he graduated from Bell City High School in 1967, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 1971, a second Bachelor of Science degree from SEMO in 1976, and a Master of Science degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1978. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1975 and retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a Rural Development specialist in 2003 after 29 years of service. He was member of the Christ Church of the Heartland in Cape Girardeau.

In 1983, he married Louise Connell who survives.

Other survivors include: five brothers, Eugene Pullen, Bobby Pullen and Elisha Pullen of Bell City and John Pullen and Freddie Pullen of Cape Girardeau; and two sisters, Martha Pullen Bobo of Sikeston and Naomi Pullen Ward of Dellwood.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Norris T. Pullen Jr.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Christ Church of the Heartland where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Zackery Strong, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military rites.

Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
