Day camp and the Counselors in Training Program aren't all the YMCA has to offer this summer. Swimming lessons, basketball camp and a sports camp are planned. More details can be found below or get more information and register by calling 472-9622.
* Swimming lessons
When: Monday through Thursday, July 10-21
What time: Classes are offered in the mornings and afternoons
Who: There are two groups -- preschool and youth (ages 6 and up)
How much: $12 for members; $24 for non-members
* Basketball camp, coached by Magic Valentino of the Harlem Swish Comedy Basketball Team
When: July 17 and 18
What time: There will be three sessions, divided by age groups
Kindergarten through first grade -- 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Second through fourth grade: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fifth through eighth grade: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
How much: $20 for members; $25 for non-members. All participants will receive a free T-shirt.
Registration deadline: July 7
* Sports Camp, with a day focusing on each of the following: basketball, tennis, soccer, bowling and swimming
When: July 24-28
What time: There will be three sessions, divided by age groups
