POPLAR BLUFF - Dollie Earlene Vaughn, 75, formerly of Sikeston, died at 8 a.m. Jan. 25, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Nov. 13, 1932, in Linden, Tenn., to the late Sidney Allen and Vera Mae James Hensley, she was a homemaker, cook and nurses' aide for a number of years at Shuffit Nursing Homes. Also she was a cook for the Heritage House Nutrition Program and was of the Baptist faith.
She was married to William Henry Vaughn, who died Oct. 1, 1993.
Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Elizabeth Jo Vaughn and Sheila Jean Vaughn, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: one son, William H. Vaughn Jr. of Canalou; five daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Mike Gray of Polar Bluff, Dottie and David Miller, Linda and Charlie Taylor and Lonna and Robert Watkins of Sikeston and Mary and Roy Keys of Canalou; one brother, David Jones of Matthews; three sisters, Irene Hughes of Morehouse, Elizabeth Coffman of Matthews and Frankie Hicks of Sikeston; and 24 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. DeWayne Coleman, pastor of the Canalou Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery.
