JACKSON -- James and Kathy Lowes have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jamie N. Lowes, to Rick A. Eftink Jr., son of Rick and Pam Eftink of Oran.

A 1999 graduate of Jackson High School, the future bride graduated from Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center in 2005. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Oran High School and a member of the U.S. Army Reserve in Cape Girardeau. He is a sales specialist for Lowe's Home Improvement in Cape Girardeau.

Plans are being finalized for a Sept. 16 wedding in Jackson.
