SIKESTON - Mary Juanita Taylor, 79, died April 10, 2006, at her home.
Born Dec. 13, 1926, at Risco, daughter of the late Robert Lee and Clare Estter Conder Quick, she attended Heartland Harvest Church of God of Prophecy and had been head cook for Kellett's Restaurant before retiring.
On March 1, 1947, she married Vesteen Taylor Sr. who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 2002.
One son, Wayne Taylor; one daughter, Brenda Taylor; one brother, J.V. Quick; one sister, Irene Russell; and one granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: five sons, Rondal Taylor of Essex, Roger Taylor and Lynn Taylor of Sikeston, Rodney Taylor of S. Fulton, Tenn., and Vesteen Taylor Jr. of Perryville; five daughters, Melba Hardin, Janet Robinson and Sandra Smith of Union City, Tenn., Freda Stedman of Dexter and Debra Sexton of W. Memphis, Ark.; one brother, John Quick of St. Louis; 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Heartland Harvest Church of God of Prophecy. The Rev. Todd Crumley, pastor will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
