Kelly cross country team has runners place at Jackson meet

JACKSON -- The Kelly cross country team competed in the Jackson Invitational recently against 21 schools.

Kelly had three medalists led by freshman Cody Kern's third place finish, running 1.9 miles in 11:33.

Junior Josh Roberts placed 17th, running 2.3 miles in 14:17. On the girls side, Tara Johnson placed 16th, running 2.3 miles in 17:18.

Megan Wheeler medaled in the junior high division, taking sixth place with a time of 12:45 in the 1.9 mile race.

Omar Campos finished in 33rd place in the 2.3 mile run after suffering a mid-

race injury.

Kelly will host its own invitational tomorrow.
