CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Iris Pearline Robinett, 83, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 12:47 p.m. April 5, 2006, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center in Mattoon.

Born Sept. 6, 1922, in Middlebrook, Ark., daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Wright Lynxwiler, she moved from Bloomfield, Mo., to Sikeston in 1972 and was of the Church of Christ belief. She was primarily a homemaker but had worked at Kings Cleaners and in the circulation department at the Sikeston Daily Standard newspaper.

On Sept. 15, 1943, in Sikeston, she married Harry L. Robinett who preceded her in death on June 6, 1997.

One brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Gary Robinett of Charleston, Ill.,; and two grandsons, Justin Robinett of Bonita, Calif., and Jeremy Robinett of Savoy.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Monday until time for services at 11 a.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Johnny Hester, minister at Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories at Sikeston.
