SIKESTON - Sylvia Nadine Fansler, 78, died Aug. 12, 2006 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 5, 1928, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Noah Elmer and Iva Evelyn Brown Cox, she was a member of the Sikeston Community Church and had worked at J.C. Penney for 25 years before retiring.
On Sept. 6, 1947, she married the Rev. Orla Lee Fansler, who preceded her in death Feb. 5, 2005.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Deanna Fansler of Sikeston and Jeffery and Teresa Fansler of Wappapello; four grandchildren, Mande Watkins of Charleston, Amy Heaton of Bloomfield, and Callie Fansler and Johnny Powell both of Sikeston; and three great- grandchildren, Trey Watkins and Connor Beth Watkins of Charleston and Parker Heaton of Bloomfield.
Two sisters, Loretta Cole, and Bonnie Sue Cox, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Revs. Dolan Rogers, Kelly Grubbs, and Glen Cantrell will be officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
