SIKESTON - Ura Ansel Goodale, 84, died at 7:30 p.m. April 12, 2006, at Charleston Manor.
Born March 14, 1922, in Phillippie, Tenn., to the late H.F. and Jessie Belle Carter Goodale, he lived most of his life in Sikeston, where he was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Church. He was employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation until his retirement and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
On July 22, 1943, he married Margie Ellen Anderson who preceded him in death on Sept. 8, 2003.
Three brothers, Lee Vernon Goodale, Hugh Ed Goodale and Henry Orville Goodale; and four sisters, Odell Reynolds Cloud, Delois Marie Goodale, Dorothy Lee Pratt and Dona Mae Chapman, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Howard Melton of Matthews; and two grandchildren, Micheal Melton and Lori Melton, both of Sikeston and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. Friday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dogwood Cemetery with his son-in-law, Howard Melton, officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Missouri Funeral Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be: Micheal Melton, Alan Reidman, Jim Anderson, Tony Melton, Johnny MacCloud and Howard Banks.
