BENTON -- After nearly a two month hiatus from the grind of the Mid-
America Racing Series (MARS) schedule, Joey Mack and the Mack Racing team will compete in round six of the MARS campaign this Saturday night, June 17 at the Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri.
The cars and stars of the MARS Series will challenge the Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) at the 1/3-mile clay oval this Saturday evening.
The event will pay $3,000 to win and $500 to start for the 40-lap feature.
This will mark the first time that the MARS and MLRA Series' have gone head-
to-head in a challenge event.
For more information on the show, which is being deemed as 'Midwest Madness,' please visit www.midamericaracingseries.com.
Another exciting $3,000 to win MARS event will take place on Friday, June 23 at the Garnertown Speedway in Luray, Tennessee. The trip to the Volunteer State on the 23rd will mark the first time that Joey has visited the Garnertown venue. Joey's month of June will wrap up on Friday, June 30 when the UMP Summernationals Series rolls into Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
The Benton native will be looking to defend his home turf and challenge for the $10,000 top prize at the Poplar Bluff Speedway. You can view Joey's tentative schedule by accessing www.joeymack.com.
If the beginning of June is any indication of how the #97m machine will perform at the end of the month, fans and competitors alike better be ready to see Joey run up front.
He has registered three top three performances in the past two weeks, with two of those runs being third place efforts at the state-of-the-art Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky.
Joey also finished second to Jeff Floyd in a special 'NASCAR Night' show at the Poplar Bluff (MO) Speedway on Tuesday night, June 6.
