CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Caruthersville teenager was injured after being shot in the leg by a BB gun Thursday night in Caruthersville.
According to Caruthersville Police Department reports, at 8:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to a residence on East 12th Street in reference to a subject being shot in the leg with a high-powered BB rifle.
Further investigation into the matter revealed two neighbors were playing around and one subject shot the other in the ankle. A 15-year-old female sustained the injury after being shot by a 17-year-old male.
The victim's parents chose not to press charges.
