Shots fired at vehicle

CARUTHERSVILLE - No one was injured when shots were fired at a vehicle early today.

At 1:08 a.m., Caruthersville Police responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of 15th and Adams streets. Ondra Battles, 25, of Caruthersville told officers he was driving south on Franklin Street and as he approached the stop sign at 12th and Franklin, someone came from behind a house and began shooting at his vehicle.

Battles estimated six to seven shots were fired. Officers located several bullet holes in the body of the vehicle. One bullet went through the rear window, striking the interior roof and lodging in the headliner.

Officers collected evidence at the scene, including bullet casings.

Neither Battles nor his two passengers were injured.

Caruthersville Police Chief Chris Riggs said there are no suspects at this time, however the investigation is continuing
