EAST PRAIRIE -- Dola Mae Benson, 86, died at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 20, 2006, at her home.
Born Dec. 22, 1919, in Sikeston, daughter of the late James William and Mary Frances Smith Cantrell, she had lived most of her life in East Prairie where she worked at Beauton's Drug Store for a number of years and then was employed as a driver for Mississippi County Transit until her retirement. She had attended the First Christian Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include: one son, Jimmy Weeks of East Prairie; two daughters, Nancy Gamble and Mary Moore of East Prairie; one brother, Albert L. Cantrell of Kansas City, Kan.; one niece, Dorothy Clark of Kennesaw, Ga.; one cousin, Jearlene Henson of Benton, Ky.; and five grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Andrew Cantrell and Truman Cantrell; and one sister, Luna Cantrell.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with Martin Lucas of East Prairie officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Lester Moore, Marty Brown, Keith Carden, Brian Carden, Kelly Carden and Ben Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Ellis, Frank King and William Johnson.
