EAST PRAIRIE -- Meredith Brooke Jackson and Corey Lee Adkisson were united in marriage during a 4 p.m. ceremony April 8, 2006, at Charleston United Methodist Church in Charleston. The Rev. Roger Jespersen officiated.

Parents of the bride are Michael and Pamela Lauderback of St. Peters and Jeffrey Jackson of Owatonna, Minn. The bridegroom is the son of Gary and Jeanne Adkisson of East Prairie.

Music for the occasion was provided by organist/pianist Terry Parker of Charleston and soloist Anna Ferrell of Charleston.

Sara Baker of Cape Girardeau served her best friend as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Janet Anders of Cape Girardeau, friend of the bride; Geri Seavey of Olathe, Kan., and Jaclyn Hankins of Overland Park, Kan., cousins of the bride; Kimberly Bowles of Jackson, sister of the bridegroom; and Amy Galemore of Charleston, sister-in-law of the bridegroom.

Flower girls were Ashlynne Hankins, cousin of the bride and daughter of Joshua and Amy Hankins of Olathe; and Mallory Galemore, niece of the bridegroom and daughter of Steven and Amy Galemore of Charleston.

Clay Pope of Jackson, friend of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chad Jamerson of East Prairie, Brandon Gregory of Bonne Terre and Todd Roth of Cape Girardeau, friends of the bridegroom; Richard Galemore of Keller, Texas, and Steven Galemore of Charleston, brothers of the bridegroom.

Ring bearers were Mason Galemore, nephew of the bridegroom and son of Steven and Amy Galemore of Charleston; and Zachary Hankins, cousin of the bride and son of Joshua and Amy Hankins of Olathe.

Candlelighters were Christian Wessel of Blue Springs, cousin of the bride; and Taylor Galemore of Keller, niece of the bridegroom.

Joshua Hankins of Olathe, cousin of the bride; Shannon Bowles of Jackson, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; and Rob Carr of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bridegroom, served as ushers.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the St. Henry Catholic School gymnasium, where guests were served by Melissa Vowels and Kay Glastetter of Charleston and Laura Halter of Benton, friends of the bride. A rehearsal dinner hosted by the bridegroom's parents was held April 7 at Top of the Town Banquet Room in East Prairie.

A 1999 graduate of Jackson High School, the bride earned a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. She is a second grade teacher at R.A. Doyle Elementary in East Prairie.

Adkisson is a 1997 graduate of East Prairie High School and a 2003 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education. He is employed as a teacher and coach at East Prairie High School.

Following a wedding trip to Couples Swept Away Resort in Negril, Jamaica, the new Mr. and Mrs. Adkisson are making their home in East Prairie.
