SIKESTON - Thelma Stilwell, 88, died Aug. 7, 2006, at her home.
Born Sept. 1, 1917, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Bob and Martha Evans, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston. She had worked for her sister at Beauton Drugs in East Prairie and retired in 1982 after working for Peoples Bank of Lilbourn.
On March 9, 1952, she married Leon Stilwell, who preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1995.
Two sisters, Beauton Long and Julia Berry also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jack Mattison of Sikeston, one granddaughter and her husband, Terri and Gary D. Moore of Sikeston; one grandson, Tim W. Greenway of Sikeston; one great-
granddaughter, Renee Greenway of Sikeston; and one great-grandson, Eric Moore of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. Dr. Rick Ramsey, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Lester Powell, Gordan Powell, Ed Sherrod, Gary Moore, Mike Evans and Pooker Evans.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Eric Moore and B.J. Burns.
