SIKESTON -- The Annual Community Clean-Up Campaign will be held for nine days from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. beginning April 22 and concluding April 30.
The compost site on Compress Road will be open for Sikeston residents to bring any large bulky items, rubbish, yard waste (no grass clippings), washers, dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, hot water heaters, commodes, tires (no larger that 16 inches without rims) and household furniture to the site for disposal. Also, electric motors, rubber hoses and compressors must be detached from appliances. The site will be manned and proof of residency will be required.
The following items will not be accepted: any hazardous materials or chemicals, asbestos materials, shingles, paint, LP tanks, fuel containers, construction waste, demolition waste and batteries. No commercial dumping will be allowed.
