Book signings introduce newest novella

SIKESTON - Barbara Watkins, a native of Sikeston, has two book signings planned with the completion of her novella, "Thorns of an Innocent Soul."

Watkins will sign copies of her new book along with her previously published, "Behind the Red Door" from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 30 at Waldenbooks in Hot Springs, Ark., and from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Howard County Library in Nashville, Ark.

Published on May 1, this is her second of two novella's published by PublishAmerica. The company is a traditional publishing company based out of Frederick, Md.

According to the author, her most recent work is a psychological mystery thriller dealing with a woman's relationship with her mother.

Watkins is a member of The Heartland Writers Guild and the international writer's organization Wizards Of Words.

Also she was accepted as a member in the 2006/2007 "Honors Edition" of the Manchester Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

Currently Watkins is working on a book of short stories and a full-length novel.
