SIKESTON -- Richard Jay Hutchison, 57, died at 2:35 a.m. Sept. 6, 2006, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston.
Born Dec. 15, 1948, in Grinnell, Iowa, son of Earl B. Hutchison of Bloomfield and Helena Zimmerman Hutchison of Sikeston, he was a motorcycle mechanic for Harley Davidson. A U.S. Marines veteran, he served during the Vietnam War and was of the Methodist belief.
In addition to his parents, survivors include: two sons, Richard Hutchison Jr. of Essex and Eric Hutchison of Bernie; two daughters, Michelle Kitts of Centennial, Colo., and Angelina Cowan of Westminster, Calif.; two brothers, Jack Hutchison of Springfield and Scott Hutchison of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Becky Prindle of Van Buren and Jo Hutchison of Republic; and several grandchildren.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. Louie Lowe, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Dexter, will officiate.
Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
