Friday, December 8, 2006

CATRON -- Linda Marie Hardin, 44, passed away Dec. 7, 2006, surrounded by her family at her home in Catron.

Born April 17, 1962, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of W.L. and Eloise Conner of Essex, she was a scout leader, choir director and member of Hopewell General Baptist Church, where she volunteered her time monthly at Crowley Ridge Care Center through her church and worked as a part-time floral designer.

On Feb. 16, 1980, at Hopewell General Baptist Church in Essex, she married Dale Hardin who survives of the home.

Linda touched many of our lives while she was with us and battled her cancer with more courage and dignity than anyone should. She never lost her hope or faith and we will keep her alive in our hearts forever. She was the best Mom, an inspiration and pillar of strength for her girls and was always there for every aspect of their lives.

In addition to her parents and husband, survivors include: three daughters, Sarah and Casey, both of Dexter and Jessica of the home; two sisters, Diana Mayberry of Dexter and Karen Ninos of Cyrpess, Texas; one brother, Dale Conner of Dexter; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Martin Goode officiating.

Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery near Essex.
