CHARLESTON -- Robert Ricky "Bob" French Sr., 76, died Dec. 7, 2006, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 22, 1930, in Charleston, son of the late Oliver B. and Jennie Brown French Sr., he lived most of his life in Charleston where had been a partner in the French Implement Co. until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Charleston and a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War.
One son, Robert Ricky French Jr., and one brother, Oliver B. French Jr., also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one son, Randy French of Charleston; two brothers, Dr. Frank French of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Don French of Charleston; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until time for memorial services at 11 a.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Roger Jespersen, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow at a later date under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
