SIKESTON -- John Wyrick, 86, formerly of Morehouse and Poplar Bluff, died at 2 p.m., Dec. 7, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born April 27, 1920, in Wilson, Ark., son of the late Bert Milton and Nina V. Glasner Wyrick, he had worked at Himmelberger-Harrison and served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II.
On Sept. 9, 1939, at Morehouse, he married Ina Brown who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Barbara Wyrick of Marion, Ill., and Jim and Sherron Wyrick of New Haven, Ind.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Juanita Buchanan of Wappapello and Carolyn and Bill McDonnold of Morehouse; one brother, Charles Wyrick of Morehouse; two sisters, JoAnn Jackson of Dexter and Dottie Huls of Jefferson City; and 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Todd Crumbley, pastor of the Heartland Church of Prophecy, will officiate.
Burial with full military honors provided by the Missouri State Military Funeral Honor Guard will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery at Williamsville.
Pallbearers will be: John Martin Wyrick, Carl Wayne Wyrick, John Wesley Wyrick, Tyler Dean Buchanan, Phillip Kindred and Richard Schiferl.
