SIKESTON - David Cairns, 38, died Oct. 11, 2006, at his home.

Born July 15, 1968, in Litchfield, Ill., son of Gerald Cairns of Benld, Ill., and the late Becky Matthews Cairns, he worked as a supervisor for Alpine Engineering at Litchfield.

In addition to his father, survivors include: a special friend, Patty Perez of the home; two brothers, Gerald Cairns Jr. and Randy Cairns, both of Gillespie, Ill.; and two sisters, Kathleen Fite of Mount Olive, Ill. and Brenda Kitchens of Chattanooga, Tenn.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Dolan Rogers, pastor of First Baptist Church of Bertrand, will officiate.
