SIKESTON - Alma Vern "Miss Mickey T" Thompson, 76, died April 10, 2006, at her home.
Born Aug. 16, 1929, in Essex, to the late Emory Owen and Floetta Lillian Babb Martin, she had been a restaurant owner and music promoter and was a member and matron of Beulahland Fellowship General Baptist Church in Sikeston.
On Oct. 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to Ernest G. Thompson who preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1984.
One sister and one grandson also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: four daughters, Dixie D. Holt and Georgina LaVern Boshears of Sikeston, Carol SuAnne Foxx Powell of Nashville, Tenn. and Helen LeaEtta Staubitz of Clarksville, Tenn.; one brother, Rev. James A. Martin of Sikeston; eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of memorial services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Lloyd Lathum, pastor of Sandywood Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
